St John’s – St Margaret’s Church

St John’s – St Margaret’s Church was established in 1971 through a merger of two congregations. Through the years, the church has been serving the residents in the Dover community, starting with Kopi Stop which now has become an Active Aging Centre of St Andrew’s Senior Care and Heartfriends Before & After School Care, which will be renamed Heartfriends Student Care Centre. 

The official opening of SJSM Village in 2022 further enables SJSM to steward her land parcel well. Adding on from the earlier initiatives and now with SJSM Nursing Home, St. Andrew’s Senior Care (Dover), Little Seeds Preschool (SJSM) and SJSM Church located on the same integrated facility, SJSM can serve the community in a manner beyond what she was already doing. 

It is SJSM’s prayer to see members Seeking God, Caring for the Church as a Family, Serving Together, and Being a Witnessing Community.

The Church

• Pray for the Lord’s favour and wisdom as SJSM embarks on a Seeking, Caring, Serving and Witnessing Framework for Discipleship.

Alpha

• SJSM is currently running the Alpha Course for both the English and Mandarin Congregations. Let us pray for good bonding and discussions in the small groups, as well as for the Alpha hosts to grow in their faith.

Outreach efforts

• SJSM will be organising a Children’s Party and National Day Celebrations for Seniors in August 2024.
