Birthed forth as a result of the charismatic movement in late 1979, a Bible study group was started under the guidance and mentorship of the late Revd Canon James Wong. The group grew to become an extension of COR as Whampoa Christian Centre (WCC) at the end of 1980.
In 1986, WCC was relocated into the premises of St Andrew’s Secondary School and was inaugurated as Chapel of the Holy Spirit (CHS).
Today, CHS provides chaplaincy support to St Andrew’s Secondary School and its Boys’ Brigade 7th Singapore Company.
